The name of the Book is a very powerful name and the name itself gives an impression of how “oneself knowing” is the best way to transform yourself. Transformation in a life is not out of sudden but yes if understood it is easy to get transform. Life is complex in the same way as our Body muscles working are complex and even till date there is no science research to say that they have researched Body from all aspects. It is important one to understand that “You” “yourself” is the key to “Your Success” and depending on others for motivation is just a myth to a larger extent. This Book is hence a unique from that perspective.
The book is an ideal source of knowledge for someone who wishes to introspect and analyse:
A man changes by every passing minute. A man in the morning might not be the same man at noon, similar to how the sun might be calm at dawn and scorching at noon. As the saying goes, it will true to say that a man is multi-minded and rather we all are Geminis. However, how many times have we tried to contemplate the reasons behind such multi-dimensional behaviour our personality? The book “Transform Your Self”, offers us an insight into the realm of the Soul, kashay, adhyavasay, chitta, mind and the physical body. The Author of the Book, Acharya Mahapragya Ji has explained to the readers, all the intrinsic details of the human mind and consciousness through the pages of this book.
The book contemplates that how the soul, being the purest in its pristine form, emits the most positive vibrations, which have to cross the region of kashay. Kashay is formed by the inauspicious karma formed by anger, ego, deceit and greed. So, the pure conscious energy has to pass through the impure kashay, thereby entering adhyavasy. It is the state of where consciousness and body can be understood separately. Once the vibrations cross adhyasay, the soul’s leshya is born. Leshya is also called the aura of the soul and based on the positivity of the vibrations, the colour of the leshya varies. Dark colour means negativity and bright colour means positivity. These vibrations are transmitted are then transmitted to the human body through the endocrine system first and the output is that the body works accordingly and this not only affects our outer behaviour of the body but even affects the internal process of the body like the secretion of the hormones.
The book very swiftly communicates the fact that the change we humans are seeking from within, can only be achieved if we begin the process from its very root. Like the way our ancient medicines used to work by finding the actual root cause of a disease and healing the body as a whole instead of just curing the affected organ. Similarly, we must understand that the transformation we seek will have to also begin from our soul.
The soul is the purest entity in this universe and it is completely separate from our body. It is this soul which give life to our physical body and it is by realising the difference between the two, that one can create an understanding of the subject. If we keep on trying and changing our mind hoping that it would result in a transformation of our behaviour, one might fail because the change shall be temporary. It is with a realisation of the soul and growth in the positivity if the leshya that a transformation can be achieve and one step towards this is through Bhavana.
Lord Mahavira said
“the one who purifies his consciousness through bhavana is like a boat in water”
Bhavana can be defined as positive thinking, a force of long life. When negative energies conquer one’s thoughts, it is bhavana which cuts through this negativity and endows an active force. In the book a very relevant extract has been quoted which says that,
“I know certain people who predict in advance that he will have a sick headache on a certain day, in certain circumstances, and on that day, in the given circumstances, sure enough they will feel it. They brought their illness on themselves, just as others cure their by conscious autosuggestion. But if our unconscious is the source of many of our ills, it can also bring about the cure of our physical and mental ailments. It can only repair the ill has done, but cure real illness, so strong is its action upon our organism”
This extract, is very relevant to the present scenario as it reflects the exact situation of our present World. We tend to create negative scenarios in our minds, by overthinking, over-contemplating and even ending up creating fake scenarios. These thoughts result in a huge embargo of negativity in the soul which can only be combatted by positivity or Bhavana. Positive thinking or autosuggestion is useful in treating moral complaints and physical ailments. It is quite interesting too, if one would observe that how constructive thoughts and destructive thoughts all emerge from the very same source, all dependent on how the creator of these thoughts wishes to reflect upon the situation.
The purpose of this book, actually helps each and every individual, for it helps one to understand introspection. The art of understanding one’s own self is pretty crucial as in the times of crisis when one feel like being lost, it is through introspection that one can find their recourse back. To get a deeper understanding of the subject, understanding the dynamics of human soul is even more crucial. Hence, the book first offers an insight into the composition of the soul, mind and body and then takes the reader on a journey of introspection, through bhavana, meditation and leshya gyaan.
