About the Author

Being a poet along with being a philosopher is a rare combination. Acharyashri Mahapragya is a great poet besides being a great philosopher. The literature written by Acharyashri Mahapragya is proving very effective like panacea in solving the horrible problems of the present age like tension, lack of sensitivity, excitement, depression, terrorism, inferiority complex, hatred, fraud, immorality, lack of authenticity and absence of peace. In the books of Acharya Mahapragya, solutions of various problems have been given by way of experiments and training. His writings bring about an all-round development in one’s life and thus are rendering a great service to the humanity. Mankind will forever be obliged to him for his contribution that he has made through his literature.

About the Book

If you can understand the deep meaning of “I was the Speaker and I was the Listener”, then you are on the right path and reading this Book will take you to another level.

This Book in my view be not taken or read as Autobiography but a Book of “Movement”, “Journey to Success”, “Knowing what to do”, “Understanding the Life”, “Who are we without Guru”, “Understanding the Real Thoughts Vs Many Thoughts”, “You Yourself is the key to Your Life”, “Know how to Act as Good Opponent”, “Face Harsh Reality“, “How to be a Good Leader”, “How to be a Good Disciple”, “Struggles Win Goals”, “Guru Comes First”, and many other which if someone wants can even write several books out of this one Autobiography.

If the reader reads from the starting page till the end page without breaking the chain of pages, you will be amazed that how this Book teaching the readers from all perspective such as:

  • How to be a family person
  • How to be a good administrator
  • How to react and act on all situations?
  • How to be alert to be on top of your requirement?
  • How to be aware of what is going on?
  • How to respect Opponent?
  • Why today non-violence is not the real non-violence but a part of violence?
  • How as a Businessperson, be a success story for other business entities?
  • How the Mission and Vision be made for a Business and what are the features to be taken care while making the Mission and Vision?
  • How to understand the situation?
  • What are the thoughts to be the part when dealing with the Situation?
  • Success, Education is not handled properly is the step towards EGO
  • Understanding the relevance of Me and We and Else in your Life and Business
  • Why the term “Ji” for every person when named makes a part of respect culture?
  • Understand the terminology “Fair Means Towards Fair ends”?

This Book I purposely not read as my first book but only after reading more than 25 Books of Acharya Mahapragya. It is relevant for me to state that first 7 books took Two readings per book to understand what exactly the Author meant by and what message is to be conveyed and when I understood the writings and intention of Author, the reading of other books and now in process books have been in smooth sail. The standard of writing of Acharya Mahapragya is of highest quality and shall be taken as one of the top writer in world in the field of Spiritual Science and Philosophy and no doubt in other fields too. Well coming to the reason of not reading this Book as my first book was to avoid all expectation as if so, then may be me reading such number of books have been down and this I am saying because this Book can be taken as Acharya Mahapragya Book “What I want to” as post reading this Book which came at ease for me to read for reasons of me reading several books prior to this Book and now when I read this Book, I am in complete satisfaction of how Muni Nathmalji became Brilliant Prolific Writer, Speaker, Thinker Acharya Mahapragya. Even Acharya Mahapragya was aware of his brilliancy but such was his greatness (and no doubt greatness came from Ganadhipati Tulsi, the Saint who was and is unmatched with many of qualities and Acharya Mahapragya was lucky to get one of his quality, which is writing and deep education. I am of personal view after reading this book and other books that if Ganadhipati Tulsi would have got time, the World would have seen as the Top Notch Writer for his thoughts, his thinking far beyond, his thinking for oneness and all and such other features which no doubt is there and hence is called as Ganadhipati). This Book actually teaches out of many think, one is beyond all and infact even Bhagavad Gita speaks in the same manner. In brief Lord Krishna said “Accept me as Guru and just keep faith and trust and devote all to me”. In the same manner, this Book will prove how it was Ganadhipati Tulsi who made Muni Nathmal as Acharya Mahapragya and for me the moment I use Acharya for Author I am not denoting towards the Post but how he deserve to be there is more important. The moment when I completed this Book, I have to admit that I had a tear in the eye thinking of what not Author’s faith had but how the disciple shall be towards his Guru and how a Guru shall be for Disciple but thinking of future was another part of my small teary eyes. The statement of Dr. Roth of 100 years to convert Agamas made me worried as what was started by Two great personalities (nothing to take away from all Sadhus, Sadhvis and great person who were and are part of Agamas) and this being a huge work but anyhow thoughts do come of whether the dream started by Ganadhipati Tulsi, implemented by Acharya Mahapragya and thereafter in continuous execution by Acharya Mahashraman will be taken care off in future as going by the time, it will take another 30 years and or if not then atleast 20 years and then another time for getting closed.

This Book is no doubt an Autobiography of Acharya Mahapragya but I never read from that part as majority of the pages were denoted to Ganadhipati Tulsi and there is a reason for the same as it was the relation of Guru and disciple which made a small boy from the village where there was not even regular water a Acharya and more than that a person on whom the Ganadhipati Tulsi ever relied upon. The relation of Lord Krishna and Arjun taught us many things and this no doubt came to me first from the TV Serial Mahabharat which was aired in around Year 1990 on Doordarshan and recently due to COVID 19 which was seen by millions.

This Book being an Autobiography no doubt contains about “Me”, “Mine”, “How @readwith me/mine” but the best part of this Autobiography is the manner in which the Me and Mine was only due to Faith and Trust. Post reading several Books of Acharya Mahapragya let me say confidently, Faith and Trust is the two words for world but for me one word is the Magical Words works in anyone life irrespective of what he wants to. “Faith and Trust” and “Guru” is the most important aspect of anyone life. This is similar to Business aspects too. Start-ups the term has gained a huge momentum and with this the business of Speaker and Mentors have also groomed up in huge numbers but getting the good Mentor, you can say is Luck but sometimes it is your effort which brings luck. A Disciplined Guru makes the Disciple Life Worth.

The essence feature of this Book though being an Autobiography is that the Bhavana is not restricted to per se but is more of an education to the readers of how a life shall be.

If the reader reads from the starting page till the end page without breaking the chain of pages, you will be amazed that how this Book teaching the readers from all perspective such as:

Today requirement of Rules by Disciple/Student/Child/Employees towards Parents, Guru and Business Organisation:

  • I would do nothing that would upset my Teacher/Guru
  • I would do nothing that would make my Teacher/Guru feel that the effort he put in to make me, did not give the results he wanted
  • I will not wish ill for anybody. This is a definite realisation that the one who wishes ill for another may or may not be able to harm the other, but will definitely harm himself

Who is Guru?

Guru is never separate. If he is a Guru and he is separate, it means he is not a Guru. A guru is always a Guru. It is not possible that he is a guru and yet there is a difference of opinion with him. Both these cannot co-exist. You accept someone as your Guru and yet continue to do whatever you want, then there would be no more unfortunate paradox in life. Guru is inseparable; he is not separate from your Soul.

Measurement of Talks in Success Growth:

Bateri ki bigade, that is the one who is talkative, who takes an interest in only talking and neglects his study, get spoilt. [Acharya Kalguniji]

Ganadhipati TulsiIf you talk so much now, all your life you will have to live under someone else’s supervision. If you study now, on growing up you will become independent. Then you may talk as much as you want, no one will stop you

It is relevant to note that Legitimate or reasonable talk appeals to the mind. Where anger or only reprimand creates reaction, reasonable talk touches the heart and mind.

Learn why Life is Built on Discipline and not EGO and how EGO be eliminated?

The first step in any task is to imagine the job ahead. The second is resolution, firm determination. The one who is not acquainted with the power of resolution cannot reach the doorstep of success. So it is necessary to strengthen one’s resolve. Discipline, forbearance and restraint are the three important components of resolution

Acharya Mahapragya has stated after one incident when he was reprimanded and punished by Shivraji Swami and the then Acharyashri, Acharya Mahapragya believed of doing no wrong and due to this, Acharya Mahapragya went to meet Mantrimuni Maganlalji Swami and stated what was the wrong done by me. Mantrimuni Maganlalji Swami to this query of Acharya Mahapragya stated “You should never be arrogant about your knowledge or the blessings of your guru. We are sadhus. Why should we be arrogant? To ask is something small. We spread our hands before someone else for our food, then why do we have an ego? Innumerable number of times the soul being born as the seed of a berry has got crushed under someone’s feet. Why then do we have an ego?”. These small teachings touched Acharya Mahapragya deep down and this two words of Mantrimuni Maganlalji Swami helped Acharya Mahapragya overcome his ego. Please note that the Arrogance shall never conquer the humility.

This is truly valid in today life and following above principles will make you as Yourself a very clam person and ego free attitude and no doubt the Success comes where the postiveness has its shelter.

Special attention of Book Avid Readers, Writers, Content Writers and Researcher:

This Book if read carefully gives the way, method and mannerism for those people who are Book Avid Readers, Writers, Content Writers and Researcher and have great intent in Literature as to how to upgrade your skills in Literature. The story of Acharya Mahapragya is not at all only being a Sadhu but a person who as a boy never knew anything but with an intent and great support from Sangha (Jain Sangh) and Guru, the same boy today has been called as Swami Vivekananda of Modern Era. To achieve this feat is not a small mean and if this be referred by the Prime Minister Narendra D Modi (popularly called as PM Modi) is even not a small feat. From Literature point of view the journey of Acharya Mahapragya only shows the hard work and efforts done by Acharya Mahapragya. A person who learnt many languages from none is a huge feat and the rich Literature of the Acharya Mahapragya, one can calculate from the below incident:

Pandit Sukhlalji and his disciple did not harbour much respect towards our work (Work here is the publishing of Dasvaikalik Sutra). Many a time their disrespect also was evident. Pandit Sukhlalji had even commented once, “What will a Terapanth sadhu do with the Agamas?. However, post publishing of Work, same Pandit Sukhlalji met and said “Now I am convinced that only you people can do the editing and collation of Jain Agamas and Jain Philosophy

Panditji said “Muni Nathmalji, I have seen the Dasvaikalik and Uttaradjyayana as edited by you. The manner in which the work has been carried out is indeed the need of the day”

How to Respect Opponent/Competitor?

Parmanandabhai Kapadia was a prolific thinker and editor of Gujarati Publication, Prabuddh Jeevan was a great opponent of Terapanth views on Ahimsa and after reading the article written by Acharya Mahapragya, he said:

“I am not in agreement with the views presented by Muni Nathmalji, and I cannot but thank him for the gentle manner in which he has presented his views. In my analysis, one may find a little sarcasm or insinuations, but in Muni Nathmal’s article there is no sarcasm, no anger or harshness, no imbalance. The language and the manner in which the article has been written does much to illustrate the sweetness, restraint, dignity and learnedness of the sadhu. I experienced great joy while reading his essay. If difference of opinion could be presented in this manner then there would be no bitterness. And the difference of opinion would not lead to differences in mind. The Society would progress in a positive direction”

This above incident shows and teaches many things:
  • When to react?
  • How to react”
  • Manner of reaction
  • How to deal with opponents?
  • Opponent is our brother only but how to win over them
  • How to present your side of thoughts

Once article by Acharya Mahapragya is teaching us many thing just imaging if one reads his whole life, what that person will be. An Imagination itself will make him to change himself that is the aura of Acharya Mahapragya

Sanskrit and Prakrit, Languages which needs re-birth:

This is the Book which has openly stated very clearly about the importance of two languages which are dying and soon will become extinct purely due to the fault of ours and to be very specific India. According to the Acharya Mahapragya, “the one who ignores these languages (Sanskrit and Prakrit) will never be able to establish the contact with the Soul of ancient India. The culture of ancient India could be duly appreciated without the knowledge of these two languages

Maxims for Successful Growth in Business, Work Life and Personal Life

Maxims Meaning
The Perspective of Anekant The one who understands Anekanta and looks at the world through this perspective solves most of life’s problems automatically
A Life of Discipline The one who lives with discipline goes far in life. He gains momentum on the path to self-discipline
Humility and Self-Discipline Self-inspired humility and discipline. When administration is not required and the control is in one’s hands, it means that such a person holds the key to his fate in his own hands.
The Blessing of Guru That which has happened in the past….it is not true to think it has fully gone past. I have not been born just to sing the songs of the past [Acharya Siddhasena Diwakar]
An Example of Stoicism Success and greatness are necessary for every person. Our direction and movement should not be towards smallness or meanness. Every person should be alert and determine to achieve greatness and then move in that direction. It is not a question of desire but I think it is a good think to be great.
A Positive Perspective Avoid saying “It cannot be done”
A Life of Hardwork The stumbling block on the path to success is laziness, and lack of effort. Things can be done, but we do not do it.
Constant Alertness Be Alert and avoid carelessness and negligence.
Patience and Waiting Pluck the Fruit only when it is ripe
Behavioral Skill Pleasant Behaviour is a sutra to Success
Two Resolves
  1. Will not do anything that would cause unhappiness to Guru
  2. I will not think of ill of others
Sublimated Emotions A successful person keeps their emotions under control
Eloquent Logic and Strong Faith Faith and Logic are the two wheels in life’s chariot. Without Logic, there is no way to search for the truth but I also think Logic without faith can be dangerous.
  • Don’t use Logic in day-to-day life interactions
  • When it is a question of principles or philosophy, use Logic
  • When there is human interaction, let the door to logic be closed. There can be no logical discussions there, only faith and humility work
  • When it comes to discussion about truth, let your logic dominate
Purity, Usefulness, and Momentum Only that person can make his life a success whose life has purity, clarity, and usefulness
Nucleus Goal of my life I believe to live, to die and define life
The Development of Third Eye Awakening of your Consciousness is Development of Third Eye

Understanding of how Violence occurs

Violence is caused by emotions produced by endocrine glands affecting the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and is related to what we eat. Based on the scientific knowledge logical system we can possibly use the energy of a brain in simple meditational practices to nurture nonviolence within and to commit ourselves to a nonviolent social life

A consider chemical imbalance to be the primary cause of violence. Serotonin and Neropinephin neurotransmitter maintain a balance between themselves when this balance gets upset then the person becomes violent.  One reasons for violence lies in the hormone testosterone. Those in whom it is more than normal have a tendency towards violence. Around the time of sunrise, the secretion of serotonin from the pineal gland increases. Melatonin is also secreted by the pineal gland. It controls our sexual desires. Environmental Pollution is also responsible for making a person more violent. Some toxic substance weakens the neuro-control system in the brain or destroys them which control the violent tendencies arising in the brain. In those places where the pollution of the elements like the lead and the manganese is high, there the human nature becomes anti-social and aggressive

    • The Mind
    • The Intellect
    • The Prudence
      • The Mind’s job is to think,
      • The Intellect takes the decisions and
      • The discretion is to reflect on that what is to be abandoned and what is to be accepted
  18. The intellect is beyond the mind and wisdom is beyond the intellect
