Are you aware that Jainism had earlier different names such as Arhat Dharma, Nirgrantha Dharma and Jain as term became popular lately and was not there earlier?. Keval Gyani Rishab was Arhat Dharma and Keval Gyani Mahavir was Nirgrantha Dharma and both now is termed as Jain.

I am thrilled to write the review of this Book for many reasons but the best reason is that this Book actually gave me the answers or shall I say the way to think forward to one the biggest query any human who has small intellect about “Who is God?” and “Who is the creator” and “If there is a Creator then who creator Creator?” as this three queries have been on my mind since many years and infact I tried getting answers through someone and then google but nothing came the reply which can bring satisfaction to your mindset. This Book named as Soul of Jainism which in my view is not the proper name as it should have been “Know the Soul and Life” as for the fact that this Book has nothing to do with the Jainism or any other religion. The Book is just appropriate for Beginners who are intending to know what Indian Literature thought of Soul and God and Creator and may be this Book will give the reader the way to process further which shall be as it is then be taken as intellectual process mind.

Covering all huge ancient scholars by Great Rishi and Saints in one book and proving certain point which can be taken as discussion oriented in a book of hardly 170 pages is not a common man achievement as this can be done only by someone who has pure knowledge of Indian Philosophy, Indian Literature, way of thoughts of various religions, and intent and to have such knowledge at this age for me it is only now can be counted and, in that Acharya Mahapragya, fits the category to the best. My words be not taken as exaggeration only because I am Jain and praising a Jain Monk but for the reasons of having read more than 40 books before giving this review and what I said can be trusted in good way.

Question is why this Book is named as Soul of Jainism whereas the Book not at all speaks of Jainism as Religion. The answer to this I can give post reading the Book is that the aim was to share the viewpoint of Jainism Philosophy to many queries regarding following:

2. What is Matter?
3. Who is God?
4. Whether there is any God?
5. Whether Soul is God?
6. Whether there is any relation between Soul and God?
7. Whether there is one Soul for all life being or each life has its Soul?
8. How creator became creator and who is Creator creator?
9. What is Consciousness and how it works?
10. Is the Consciousness and Soul inter-dependent or independent or nothing related to it?
11. Is there is possibility of Rebirth?
12. Rebirth is Science or Myth?
13. Soul and Rebirth, how are related
14. Why there are different kinds of living beings, such as animals, humans, visible and invisible?
15. How life came on earth?
16. Thought process of life?

The best part of the Book that it does not force the Jainism Philosophy in any manner and infact the various philosophies has been discussed in great details and with minute facts and its logical reasoning and hence I still believe that this Book shall have been Titled as “Know the Soul and Life” as by naming as Soul of Jainism, the Book has restricted its usage to Jains as in today generation the Jain is taken as Religion and this book will be taken as Religious Book which will be not in favour of the fact that the thoughts of Acharya Mahapragya being restricted.

While reading this Book, I have to admit that if the reader is not aware of Sanskrit and Prakrit, he or she cannot understand the ancient Indian Literature and hence the time is still there to make these two languages mandatory so that the thought process of ancient Indian Literature is not lost as already many ancient books and ideas have been either lost or looted out or burnt due to long history of capturing India and its history.
